Periyar University Invites Applicants For URF (University Research Fellowship)

Periyar University, Salem invites applications in the format as prescribed for the University Research Fellowship (URF) for the departments in English, Psychology, Computer Science, Tamil, Mathematics, Geology, Food Science, Commerce, Biotechnology, Education, Sociology and Journalism and Mass Communication.

Duration of the programme: two years and extendable for the 3rd year if necessary.

Eligibility Criteria: Post Graduate degree of this University or of any other University in Tamil Nadu with a minimum of 55% of marks needed. However, the minimum marks for SC/ST candidates is 50%.

Fee structure: Rs.4000/- per month with contingency of Rs.5000/- per year of URF.
Selection Procedure: Candidates for these programmes are selected via written test and personal Interview.

How to apply:

Applications must be obtained from the Registrar requesting by a crossed demand draft for Rs.200/- (For SC/ST: Candidates are eligible to have one application at free of cost) drawn in favour of the Registrar, Periyar University, Salem.
It is payable at at Salem with a self addressed envelope of 25cmx12cm size stamped to the value of Rs.40/-.
The SC/ST candidates should enclose an attend copy of permanent community certificate and PG provisional certificate or degree certificate or mark statement of all the semester.
