Manmohan Scholarship For Indian Students
Indian students are invited to apply for the three Manmohan Singh Scholarships to study for Ph.D and M.Phil courses starting in the autumn of 2013.

The scholarship has been organized by the University of Cambridge, and was launched in 2007 in the name of India's Prime Minister, who studies and achieved a First in Economics at St.John's College in the late 1950's.

These three scholarships will be awarded every year, each with a worth of 35,000 pounds. The closing date for applications for 2013 scholarships is Dec 31, 2012

The sources from the University said "The three holders of the scholarship in the current academic year are Parama Ghoshall (Studying for a Ph.D in Chemical Engineering), Nishit Srivastava and Sudhir Rama for researching in the field of Engineering.

About Scholarship: The Manmohan Singh Scholarship is specially for Indian students based in India when they apply for PhD and M.Phil degrees at St.Johns College in areas such as Science and Technology, economics and Social Sciences.

The main sponsor for this scholarship for this year is the BP Foundation. Sponsors in previous years include Rolls Royce India and Tata and Sons. The Scholarship programme administered by the British Council in Ne Delhi.
