Here, the students of IIM Kozhikode have come across a decision to train or help the upcoming CAT aspirants to crack their exam in a well prepared manner. Apart from sharing their ideas on success or giving gyans these students have come forward to personally train them.
They are the toppers of CAT Exam belonging to IIM Kozhikode. They are to provide test preparation material to aspirants. To start with, the students will hold a workshop for final year and pre-final year Undergraduate students across the state at the campus.
The Workshop is scheduled to be held from 9th Of November to 11th November, 2012. It shall be conducted under the Shiksha Initiative.
Divya V, convenor of Shiksha informed that many students from the state, despite being very talented, lacked the exposure and access to targeted training programmes that make a huge difference in highly competitive exams like CAT, which is considered as one of the toughest in the country. This programme will also address the verbal ability constraints faced by many students.
She said "It is purely a student initiative and we intend to provide training to 130 students from across the state. Those who had scored high percentiles from among us will share tips and strategies. What worked for us will surely help them. What these students need is just a little push to and we intend to give them a helping hand to cross the CAT barrier".
The Degree students of Kerala shall be given a aptitude test and a mock group discussion by IIM-K students. They also provide a free test preparation material and mock test series to selected students. Career counselling is specially provided to students from Government schools in ans across Kozhikode.
