CAT 2012: Students Faced Electrical Failure Issues

Electrical Failure In CAT2012 At Delhi
CAT 2012 Saturday, 20th October Report Analysis: Officials of CAT 2012 (Common Admission Test) which was held on 20th October, Saturday reported that there was a failure in electricity due to which about 35 candidates could not take the exam at a test centre in New Delhi.

The Prometric India, which is the technical provider for the test notified that these candidates will be given a new test date within the testing period as per their convenience.

In-fact the Prometric blamed that electrical failure damaged the uninterpretable power supply (UPS) at the Asia Pacific Institute of Management, New Delhi. Due to this 2 of the 6 testing labs at the exam centre stopped working. Few of the affected aspirants were transferred to alternate exam centres in New Delhi and Gurgaon to take the exam on the same day which lasted till 10.30 PM late night.

The aspirants had to appear for the exam amidst much chaos and stress. Prometric India arranged transportation facility to shift the candidates to alternate test centre and drop them back to a Metro station nearest to their place of residence.
