The expert committee formed by AICTE to probe into the alleged wrong questions in the test, the chairman said that some four to five questions had been declared wrong.

SS Mantha, Chairman, AICTE said, "Each question carries four marks, If a student had attempted one of these wrong questions, we will calculate his total marks out of 396 instead of 400. Finally, we will scale the total marks up out of 400".

AICTE conducting the CMAT exam twice every year, the comparison between the scores achieved by students who attempt the exam in both September abd January will bo done on the basis of total marks and not their ranks.

On the CMAT website, AICTE approved institutions using CMAT scores is displayed. The B-Schools like Management Development Institute (MDI) Gurgaon, and Xavier's Labour Resource Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur, which is not considering CMAT scores for this year's admission process.

CMAT is the only test for admission in MBA Programmes in AICTE approved institutions and University Departments of all the states, and one of the five tests for PGDM programmes for the session 2013-14.

"According to the Supreme court decision, CMAT is one of five entrance exam that the 300 PGDM institutes mentioned in the list can consider fro admissions, For the rest 3,500 MBA Colleges, CMAT is mandatory", said Mantha.
