Class 9&12 Students To Learn Business Skills: IITs

Young Entrepreneurs Tie Up With IIT's
Students of Class 9 and 12 have shown up their interest in learning Business skills. Yes! The school goers tie-up with IIT's (Indian Institute of Technology). The Indus Entrepreneurs have launched their flagship Worldwide Entrepreneurial Talent Nurturing Initiative' TIR Young Entrepreneurs (TYE)' Program 2013 at IIT-Kanpur on Sunday, 30th September 2012.

This session was held by IME Department professor Dr.BV Phani, and his entire team comprising of Professor.Ashutosh Khanna and Butool Abbas. The Programme this year is conducted in association with Syndicate Bank Entrepreneurship Research and Training Centre, IIT-Kanpur; said Convener Arun Bajpai.

Around 56 students of classes 9 and 12, from ICSE/CBSE schools of Khanpur are attending the programme. It shall be conducted in 6 classroom session in October and November on various other topics related to entrepreneurship. TYE is an integrated prog spanning four months with classroom session on different aspects of entrepreneurship followed by mentoring by successful entrepreneurs and a business plan competition whereby different student groups present their business plans made in the course of the programme.

Last year the programme was successful and this time it saw a big crowd for registration. Bajpai said that the students of Methodist, Jaipuria, Mariampur, Virendra Swarup Education, Mercy Memorial, DPS-Kalyanpur, DSP-Azad Nagar and Swaraj India School has enjoyed the interactive session today and were looking forward to the remaining sessions to be taken up by IIT Kanpur and IIM-Lucknow professors.
