During the age of cut-throat competition, studying in classrooms was not enough. Earlier, tuition teachers were a luxury that only rich parents could afford for it. Now they are sought after even by middle-and-lower-middle-class parents who strive hard to give that extra edge to their children. In-fact, even students do not mind missing classes at school just to prepare for an exam at coaching institutes.
Varsha Iyer, a class XI student at Divine Child International school says "Tuition teachers are indeed becoming more important than school teachers. Students would rather bunk school than tuition classes during exams. And they always prefer approaching their tutors seeking help from their school teachers".
Another student, Ahju Shah says "I am forced to attend many tuition classes because all my friends are doing so. But, somewhere I personally feel I have lost track of the real school."
There are Parents who call this as a trend in order to blame the competition levels of all levels in the Field. But still, there are parents who say that tuition classes seems to be the only way to get their children to study.
