'Teachers Of India' Portal Re-Launched
Azim Premji Foundation launched the, a new and significantly improved version of the 'Teacher of India' portal on the teachers day.

The portal is a free and open platform from for teachers across the country to hone their professional capabilities and get access to quality teaching aids and digital resources. The teachers portal was originally developed by the Azim Premji Foundation in collaboration with the National Knowledge Commission. Since then the foundation has expanded the portal into a space for teachers to interact, discuss, reflect, create and share academic resources and thus foster ad inclusive community of teachers across the country.

The genesis of the portal in the need to support the 5.5 million practicing government school teachers of india.

About 'Teachers of India' Portal:
The Teachers of India Portal aims to create a vibrant community of teachers through the sharing of knowledge and experience on a common platform. The range of teaching and learning resources available to teachers on the portal will enrich their knowledge of subject content and pedagogy, demonstrate new approaches to classroom practice and provide concrete support in the form of teaching/learning material.

Our primary goal is to support school teachers of state-run schools, who teach in the regional languages. Therefore, we feel it is especially important to facilitate content generation and sharing in those languages. Currently we have content in four Indian languages and English. We soon hope to extend it to other Indian languages, with your continued participation. Our resources are open to all non-profit and educational efforts.
