Mumbai University Forms To Go Offline From October

MumbaiUniversity Switch To Offline Forms
The Mumbai University has decided to do away with the online system for providing forms and hall tickets, which was introduced during the March 2012 exam due to "Technical Issues". Hence the second half of the exams held in October-November, in which more than 2lakh students appear, will have printed forms and hard copies of hall tickets, which will be sent to respective colleges.

I n a circular sent to all engineering and other affiliated colleges on August 17, the university has directed them to submit the forms "As per the present prevailing practice- that is to submit regular printed examination forms provided y the University".

The decision will effect more than one lakh engineering and post-graduate students appearing for the semester-end examinations in November, along with close to one lakh repeaters. The online examination form system was much publicized by the university administration at the time of implementation.

One of a College principal said "The move was Eco-friendly and cost and time saving, yet it failed. The system can work only if we implement it after thorough testing". Subhash Deo, the director of examination said "MKCL system was not working up to the mark. Hence, we will continue with printed forms as of now. But we are trying to send hall tickets to colleges through E-Mail before 10 days the exams commences".
