CBSE Conducts CTET 2012 In November
The CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test)-2012 will be conducted in the month of November. The Test is conducted by the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary education), Delhi in order to find a person eligible for appointment as a teacher for classes 1-8. Interested candidates can Apply Online.

The CTET shall apply to schools of the Central Government (KVS, NVS, Tibetan Schools, and more) also schools under the administrative control of UT of Chandigarh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli and NCT of Delhi. CTET may also apply to the unaided private schools, who may exercise the option of considering the CTET.

 

Eligibility :

The candidates having the following minimum educational qualification are eligible for appearing in CTET.
For Class 1 to 5 :

  • Senior secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2nd year diploma in Elementary Education. OR
  • Senior secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passes or appearing in final year of 2 year diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations 2002. OR
  • Senior secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
  • Senior secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2 year diploma in education (Special Education). OR
  • Graduation and passed or appearing in final year to two year Diploma in Elementary Education.

For Class 6 to 8 :

  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year Bachelor in Education. OR
  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year Bachelor in education, in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4 year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4 year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed. OR
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year B.Ed (Special Education).

Important Dates :

  1. Online application process starts from : August 1, 2012.
  2. Last date to apply for CTET 2012 : August 31, 2012
  3. CTET November 2012 Exam will be held on : November 18, 2012.
