BASE announces Innovative Activity Based Learning Programs

BASE, the Bangalore based premier training organization providing quality training for competitive examinations has announced innovative activity based learning programs - Discover & N Skill for the students of class 5 to 8. The classes for these weekend program will commence from last week of July and will be available in Bangalore, Dharwad, Hubli, Mysore & Udupi.

Discover is a unique, beyond classroom learning platform that enables children to Explore, Experiment and Experience learning with fun. It is an activity based experiential learning programme that will help students to seek the next level of learning in Science and Mathematics. Discover makes learning fun and engages the student attention through doing hands-on activities. Additionally, interesting communication tools like video demonstrations and footage of exciting events, audio - visual and multimedia presentations etc are also used to substantiate learning.

N Skill is a unique child centric initiative that is focussed on nurturing life skills in the formative stages of children and enables them to extend their learning from the classroom to real life situations. The programme comprises of activities that are facilitated through different techniques like role- play, mind mapping, brainstorming, debate, group discussion, painting, crafts etc which makes learning fun-filled and effective.

The core objective of these programs is to enable learning without the pressure of performing and promote the joy of true learning. These programs have been designed to help children to motivate and restore their undiscovered treasured potential. About BASE: BASE started functioning in the year 1991 from its present premises in Basavanagudi in Bangalore. It was started by Dr. H.S. Nagaraja with the intention of increasing the number of candidates from Karnataka gaining entrance into IITs (Indian Institute of Technology) and NITs (National Institute of Technology). From a modest strength of 4 faculty members and 3 students, BASE has now grown to include 150 teaching faculty and multiple programmes for students from class 5 to 2nd PU/Class12. BASE trains students to qualify in the entrance examinations of world renowned centres of learning such as the IITs of India. BASE has consistently performed since its inception both in terms of growth and an astounding share in the number of BASE students gaining entrance into the IITs and NITs. It is a proud fact that each year, the number of BASE students qualifying to the IITs is more than that of all other institutions in Karnataka put together.
