Karnatak University Opens PG, PG Diploma Admission

Karnatak University, Dharwad invites application for admission in to Post-Graduate Degree Courses, (Non-semester/Semester with Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) PG Diploma/ Advanced Diploma/ Diploma & Certificate courses for the academic Year 2012-13.

The Courses are offered in:

• Master of Arts (M.A)
• Master of Science (M.SC)
• Master of Commerce (M.Com)
• Master of Fine Arts
• Master of Education (M.Ed)
• Master of Law (LL.M)
• Master of Social Entrepreneurship (MSE)
• Master in Marketing
• Master of Business Administration (MBA)
• Master of Computer Application (MCA)
• PG Diploma in (Various Branches)

Entrance Test:

• Entrance test will be conducted for all courses. Admission shall be made on the basis of a merit list prepared by taking into consideration 50% of marks obtained in the qualifying examination /optional subjects (all three years), whichever is applicable (excluding Basic/*Common subjects) and 50% of marks obtained in the Entrance test. Entrance test will be of multiple choice questions (MCQ) with 50 questions. Duration of Test will be 1 hour 15 minutes.
• The candidates have to collect challans for paying Entrance Test Fees from the concerned P.G.Departments. The Fees for Entrance Test for Parts - A,B,C,D,E,F shall be Rs. 500/- (For SC/ST/Cat-I: Rs. 250/-) for each Subject for Part -G shall be Rs. 700/- (For SC/ST/Cat-I: Rs. 350/-) for each Students. The fees either in the form of Bank Challan or DD drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, Karnataka University Payable at Dharwad.

• Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline with 45% (40% for SC/ST) from a recognized university.

How to apply:

• The application from can be obtained from State Bank of India or Syndicate Bank, Karnatak University Campus, Dharwad, by remitting Rs. 400/- (Rs.200/- SC/ST/C-I) between 11.00 a.m. & 3.00 p.m. on working days.
• By Post: From Director, Prasaranga, Karnatak University, Dharwad-580 003 on payment of Rs.500/- (Rs.300/- for SC/ST/C-I) (including Rs.100/- towards postage & service charges) through DD drawn in favour of "The Finance Officer, Karnatak University, Dharwad" payable at Dharwad along with a self addressed envelope (A4 size) superscribing "APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION TO________________ (specify the course/s)".
• Download the application form from the website of Karnatak University and submit the duly filled-in form along with DD for Rs. 400/- (Rs. 200/- for SC/ST/C-I) drawn in favour of "The Finance Officer, Karnatak University, Dharwad" payable at Dharwad.
