Online Eligibility Certificates By Pune University

The University of Pune has come across a decision to issue the eligibility certificates online from this academic year 2012-13. The students from outside the University system aspiring to enroll to degree and Postgraduate degree course in the university require eligibility certificate.

Generally, such students are given provisional admissions and then later they can register for eligibility certificate within 2 to 3 months of their provisional admission. All the key documents such as degree certificate, marks card, transfer certificate and other certificates are verified by the BCUD (Board of College and University Development) before granting the eligibility certificate to respective candidates.

The admission is not taken confirmed until a candidate gets the eligibility certificate. If a candidate fails to secure the certificate he is barred from taking the University exams. Till now the process of issuing the eligibility certificates was held manually at the colleges affiliated to the University and Postgraduate departments of the University.

The application forms are submitted between August and October every year followed by the issue of eligibility certificate. The process used to take time due to many factors such as staff crunch and surge of application forms. The University has 625 colleges of Online system, all the issues will be resolved. Students will now get their eligibility certificate within the mentioned time and in a transparent and efficient process.

Similarly,based on this the University has implemented Online element while conducting exams for specific subjects in the Engineering department as well as the entrance exam for PhD Admissions.
