The Online MBA Programmes seems to have gained importance in today's world. Yes, MBA Online Courses have started gaining momentum in the Indian education field, with many companies wanting the executives to take up the online management courses.

For instance, most popular institutes like IIM-Calcutta, Glion Institute of Higher education, Switzerland; U21 Global and UNC Kenan Flagler Business School are a few among them who are venturing into the Online MBA Courses.

 

The Swiss hospitality Glion Institute of Higher Education has partnered with the Taj Hotels for the Online MBA programme in Hospitality Management for its 25 middle and senior level managers. This programme which coasted Rs.19 Lakh for each student was completely sponsored by Taj.

Well, about the growing demand of Online MBA courses, the sources from the institute revealed that more companies prefer the course keeping in mind the time constraints. The combination of core management theory and applied industry knowledge in the online format helps candidates to opt for flexible learning programme.

Applicants from over 60 countries have registered for the Online MBA course in the Glion Institute. This diversity in the institute body has helped students gain global perspective making the process more interactive. Earlier, in the year 2011 this institute had expanded the online portfolio to not only include the MBA qualification but also provide certificate and diploma programmes. As a result, the number of stduents for the programme has increased from 178 to 300 candidates.

The officials of the Glion institute revealed that though many Indian service sector firms are now opting for the online programme, partnership with Taj was Glion's first Indian partnership. Now, at present IIM-Calcutta is offering Satellite based long duration certificate programmes through the Hughes and NIIT Imperia platforms. However, the Online programme is attracting a large number of candidates, adding 20% to the total revenue.

The e-learning sector is opening up new global market that would be worth Rs.2.5 lakh crore predicted the experts of markets. More online educators are expected to enter the Indian arena in the upcoming future...
