CU Opens Ph.D in Environmental Science Admission

Departmental Of Environmental Science, University of Calcutta, Kolkata invites application for Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) Environmental Science Programme commencing in the session 2012.

Eligibility:

• Candidates from Environmental Science and allied subjects may apply subject to the clearance of equivalence from the University, they should complete RET formalities by the examination board of the concerned department.
• The candidate should have Chemistry as a combination subject at the bachelor’s level. Percentage at the Master’s level should be at least 55% marks.
• Those candidates who have already passed UGC-CSIR (JRF) NET/SET/SLET/GATE/M.Phil/ M.Tech or equivalent examination need not appear at the written test and can apply directly for the interview.

Examination:
Examination will be for 50 marks of one hour duration. There will be 50 (MCQ), each of 1 mark. Syllabus of the examination will follow the post graduate environmental science syllabus.

Date of RTE written examination is on June 15, 2012.
Publication of list of candidates qualified in written test and selected for interview on June 21, 2012.
