Sale Of TNEA Forms Is On Hold For Three Days

TNEA Forms Not To Be Sold For 3 Days
The authorities at the Anna University has suspended the sale of the forms for three days beginning from today, ie. Monday. The cause for the authorities prompted to do so, is said to be as an unprecedented high demand for application forms for the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA-2012).

This year, in less than 10 days, the Anna University had sold two lakh application forms that serve as an entry ticket for the single window counselling for admission into Government quota BE/B.Tech seats. TNEA Secretary Professor V Rhymend Uthariaraj said “There will be no sale of applications for the TNEA 2012 between May 21 and 23. Issuing of the forms will resume on May 24 and continue till May 31.

The sources say that this is the first time ever happened in over 15 year-old history of the TNEA that the sale of application forms had to be suspended. The sale had started on May 11 around 59 centres across the state. The Anna University had printed 2 lakh forms but all the forms were sold out by May 19 itself.

He also said that, “Now we have decided to print upto 40,000 application forms additionally. These will reach us only on Monday and it would take at least 2 days to dispatch them”. However, students can still register the applications Online at LINK.
