Wrong Queries Encore In IIT JEE 2012 : Anand Kumar

IIT JEE Entrance Exam Had Wrong Queries
Last year IIT JEE was carried out with mistakes in the question paper. This year paper also seems to have followed the same. “The questions were found to be wrong” says the Maths wizard and founder of Super 30 Anand Kumar.

Anand Kumar has always been with an effort to help underprivileged students in order to get through the tough the Competitive exams recognized world wide. He said the problem had been detected soon after the examination, but was confirmed on Thursday after the JEE uploaded the answers to three of its questions.

What does this lead to? When the problems are wrong and those students who had put their effort in solving it would still get marked as zero for the specified question. Anand said that it was strange and unfair, instead of accepting their mistake, the authorities still made an chance resorted to average marking, in-turn he believes this would affect meritorious students negatively.

He also gives an example of chemistry and mathematics exam where in respect of one question each ie.. Question number 23 and 60 respectively the JEE authorities wrote that all students would get zero mark for it.

“This trend of setting wrong questions had been going on from the past three years due to the offensiveness on the part of question paper setters” said Anand. Despite he also pointed out that questions worth 18 marks had been detected wrong and later average marks were given. A detailed proposal to HRD Minister Kapil Sibal regarding IIT JEE reforms were also submitted.

It is long time before when the authorities worked out a foolproof mechanism to prevent repetition of such errors in future. In order to bring it to end teachers should test the answers by solving them before it is printed, he added.

What do you think? Isn't it affecting the future of students? Teachers who are responsible for students future seem to be more careless in setting up question papers.
