The critical education bills shall be passed in the budget session of Parliament today, the April 24, 2012 said the HRD- Human Resource Development Minister, Kapil sibal. These Education Bills aim at establishing a body to supervise and regulate higher education in India and to bring the Economically Weaker Section children under RTE.
MHRD official revealed that there are many bills which need immediate approval and some of them are expected to be passed in the second half of the budget session. Sibal, in-fact has been stressing on the need of passing these bills since last few weeks. He blamed the opposition for setting back the education reforms and emphasized that politics should not intervene with educational matters.
He further stated that the bills were framed by him in 1 year but they have been stalling in the parliament for 2 years despite of being approved by the standing committee which comprises of all party representatives.
