WBJEE 2012 Exam Paper Pattern
The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) which is scheduled for April 15th, 2012 ie.. on Sunday, conducted in order to provide admission into undergraduate courses in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Medical/Dental and Pharmacy in universities/colleges in West Bengal. It was started in the year 1962 with an objective to conduct a common entrance exam for students to take admission into colleges in West Bengal state.

With only 3 days left for the final day, students must have started their revision. Lets have a look at the Exam Paper Pattern : The question paper is divided into 2 sections. The first section consists of multiple choice type questions (80% marks) and second section is of short answer type questions (20%). Each question is provided with 4 options including 1 correct answer. Incorrect answer fetches a deduction of 33.33% marks.

 

Here are some changes in WBJEE 2012 Entrance Test Pattern.

All the questions in each paper will be of MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) type and must be answered in the OMR sheet provided to them. No short descriptive type questions will be there like last year. For Mathematics and Biological Sciences papers- total number of questions will be 80 in each paper, out of which questions bearing sl.no 1 to 60 will carry 1 mark each and questions from sl.no 61 to 80 will carry 2 marks each.

Physics and Chemistry combined paper will consist of 80 questions out of which questions bearing sl.no 1 to 40 will be from subject Physics and questions from sl.no 41 to 80 will be from the subject Chemistry. Questions from sl.no 1 to 30 and sl.no 41 to 70 will carry 1 mark each whereas questions from sl.no 31 to 40 and 71 to 80 will carry 2 marks each.

There will be four answering options for each question amongst which only one would be correct. More than one answer/response indicated against one question shall be treated as wrong/incorrect answer/ responses.

Students should keep these changes in mind while going for the examination to avoid mistakes. Lastly. Students are advised to be patient and confident about their preparation.
