GTU To Monitor All Technical Colleges On Surprise!

GTU On A Ride To Examine Tech Colleges
GTU-Gujarat Technical University has issued notification to all Technical colleges informing that the teams specifically designated for the task of carrying out local inquiries will be monitored as surprise checks. The varsity has directed all the colleges to co-operate with the squads.

The notification is completely heeled on the report submitted by the Local Inquiry Committee (LIC) which confess that nearly 40% positions of teaches in diploma, degree engineering, pharmacy, MBA, MCA, Master of Engineering, MPharm, Architecture and Hotel Management courses are yet lying vacant. The Vice chancellor of GTU, A.K.Aggarwal said “WE are very serious about the issue of ascertaining the true infrastructure and human resource picture at the colleges so that the students are not short-changed. We have directed all college managements to co-operate with the investigating teams”.

Moreover, GTU has very recently formed teams headed by nine deans to carry out surprise inquiries at different colleges. The college managements, who opposed these checks saying that the inspection should be carried out only through prior information. It has informed all colleges to sustain all details about their staff members, number of students and infrastructure, and laboratory equipments at their college campuses. All the information’s with a new web page have been posted online by the university.

Now its the time for GTU to go on ride in order to check if the information received by each college is accurate or they just exist only on the paper. The special care is given to the laboratory equipments available for students. The records say that, recently number of instances have come to light where colleges had sustained the practical marks to the GTU while it was disclosed later because they had not conducted any such exams as they did not have lab facilities in the college.

Aggarwal also announced that, the Practical marks for the colleges will not be allotted in case it is found that the colleges do not have adequate labs facilities.
