GSHSEB Permits 59 Schools To Start Higher classes

59 Schools Begin Higher Secondary Class
Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) officials have granted permission to 34 Higher secondary schools and 25 Secondary schools in order to start Higher secondary classes. The order was given by The executive committee Of The Board.

112 applications were received by the Board for Higher Secondary schools. Among these 34 were granted permission while 78 applications were rejected. Out of 34 schools cleared, 30 were Gujarati Medium Schools while four were English Medium Schools; said the officials.

The Board had received 128 number of applications for the secondary schools of which 103 were denied and 25 were granted with the permission. The Board Officials said; “The Board has introduced a new system wherein instead of processing applications once in a year, the applications would be processed once every month or two months whenever the executive committee of the board met”.

Earlier, the schools would be given permission at the last minute. Or else, there would be a situation where the schools would informally accept students believing that it would get permission but their applications would later be rejected, which created problems for students. Hence the board ensures that the schools will get permission in time to start the admission process.
