VTU Decides To Implement Digital Evaluation System

VTU To Follow Digital Evaluation System
Visvesvaraya Technical University (VTU), Bangalore has come across a decision in order to implement Digital Evaluation System for all Undergraduate Courses from the next academic year. It is expected that the results will be declared within a week of the exams.

The VTU sources have revealed that this new evaluation system will be introduced in 30 colleges in the next semester and will be extended to all other colleges by the end of the next academic year. VTU will be implementing this digitization format similarly as Bangalore University.

 

The system of Digital Evaluation was implemented by the University for Ph.D courses in the year 2010 on pilot basis. Under this new system, all answer sheets are bar coded, scanned at high speed and uploaded on to the servers.

The main objective to implement the Digitized Evaluation Process is to save University's time and money as well. Every year the University is spending amount of Rs.5 Crore on Stationery and evaluators allowance.
