Exam Pattern:
VITEE question paper covers 4 parts. The subjects are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. Candidates applied for Engineering Programmes needed to attempt part 1,2 & 3 and those who have opted for Bio-Medical Programmes need to attempt part 1,2 & 4. Each section contains 40 objective questions which carry one mark for each question. Questions are based on State Board of Higher Secondary School and Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) curriculum only. There is no negative marking.
Eligibility:
- Candidates should have passed 10+2 Examination with 60% of Marks. The candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology. The age limit to be considered is more than 21 years at the time of applying for the test.
- The candidates hailing from Jammu & Kashmir and from the Northeastern states like Assam, Tripura, Sikkim, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh who have passed 10+2 Examination with 50% of marks, with subjects; Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are eligible to apply for all the courses.
- Candidates who have studied the subjects; Physics, Chemistry and Biology are eligible only for B.Tech in Bio-Informatics, Bio-Medical Engineering and Bio-Technology courses.

Online Application:
The Candidates must obtain the Demand draft of Rs. 900 in favor of VIT University payable at Vellore. Log on to the official website of the institute to get registered. Once the candidates are registered, they are issued with VIT-ID. Candidates should register their personal, academic details, a print out of the application form can be taken. Candidates should send the signed payment advice form and DD to VIT.
Offline Application:
The Prospectus and the information brochure for B.Tech Degree Programmes 2012, along with the application form can be obtained from various post offices by paying Rs. 950/- cash payment.
Important Dates:
The Application forms will be issued from December 05, 2011.
Entrance Exam will held on April 21, 2012 (Time: 2.30PM to 5.00 PM).
