Kapil Sibal, the HRD Minister on November 21st, Monday has launched the “National Online Examination System that enables examinations to be conducted at multiple locations spread all cross the nation over multiple slots over a longer period. The system has been developed by the Centre for development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) under the sponsorship by the department of Information Technology, Government of India.

With the ultramodern properties, the results can be readily obtained right after the completion of the examination. The advantages of the system are remarkable. The system centrally controls the conduct of the interviews and makes available the composite results on the performance of the candidate in the online examination, to the interview committee.

The final interview committee can view the composite results of the examination as well as the observations of the first level interview committee. A large scale of recruitment can be conveniently finished within the duration of 45 day's. With the launch of the system, the online examination strategy in India is expected to become more responsive and efficient. The system will certainly prove to be a great substitute for the conventional paper based examination by streamlining the way for a clean and fair examination process, he said.

This traditional paper based manual examination system is time-consuming, inefficient and unfriendly to the environment while the new system would prove to be the hassle-free, fair, fast and efficient evaluation process.
