Indian Students Hit as College Shuts In London

TASMAC Business School Shuts in London
TASMAC, the Business school of Pune situated in London was established in the year 2004. It offers courses such as Bachelors of Arts (honours) and Masters of Business Administration Degrees. It is examined that around 200 students studying there are Indians.

Tasmac Group's Business School has been ordered to close by the British authorities on October 6th. TASMAC also has its Business Schools in Bengaluru and Kolkata. The Ministry of external affairs has announced that as the students should not loose their academic year, TASMAC which is working with University of Wales has accepted to admit these students in other educational institute.

 

Higher officials say the main reason to take this decision is as believed to be related to UK efforts of tightening the norms with respect to 4-tier students Visa, said a spokesperson. “The Indian high commission has since placed an advisory on its website asking affected Indian students to contact the mission for required assistance, if any. So far no student has contacted the high commission. Officials of high commission have visited TASMAC campus in London and have also sought a meeting with UK Border Agency which should substantiate as soon as possible," he added.
