CSAT Exam To Be Conducted For The Year 2012

CSAT 2012 to be conducted soon.
CSAT -Civil Service Aptitude Test,started from the year 2011 . This exam is based on Civil Services, hence candidates are selected among those who can appear for Services in Civil. Later candidates who have passed the CSAT main Exam and the consecutive interview, will be appointed for the prestigious IAS (Indian Administrative Service), IPS (Indian Police Service), IFS (Indian Foreign Service), IRS (Indian Revenue Service) and various other services.

CSAT 2012 will be held on May/June 2012. The notification for CSAT 2012 will be conveyed in all the Major Newspapers of India. Around 3,00,000 candidates are expected to attend this exam and among them about 11,000 candidates will be qualified for the Civil Services (Mains) Exam .

 

Exam Pattern has been decided to be 2 papers, with total marks of 200 each and duration of 2 hours. The paper-I tests the General Awareness where as Paper-II tests the Logical Reasoning, problem solving and Decision Making. The Syllabus comprises of Comprehension, Interpersonal skills, Economic and Social Development,General issues, Science, Communication skills, Logical reasoning, Environmental ecology, analytical and mental ability , Basic numeracy and others. Candidates to note that CSAT is an elimination test. So, candidates who have appeared and scored top scores will be promoted to the next stage. The cut-off scores would be varying every year depending on the number of candidates registered, and the level of difficulty of questions depends on the number of vacancies.
