No hope for G-category in 4th list of DU
Some students are still hopeful on the fourth cutoff list of Delhi University. The list is suppose to get declared on 2 July, 2011. But, it may have nothing to offer to general candidates. After the third cut off list were announced, most of the DU Colleges have filled up the seats for general category students across all the courses, leaving a very little hope for the upcoming lists.

Admissions have already been closed at Ramjas College in the third list itself. Hansraj,Miranda House, and SGTB Khalsa, too, are set to close their admissions for the general candidates.

However, Daulat Ram College may have few options for BA (H) philosophy, Sanskrit and BSc life sciences. The College have admitted 1,180 candidates for 1077 seats. At the same time, the college is expecting some withdrawals in economics, commerce and biochemistry.

While for general category, Hindu College will have nothing to offer in the fourth list except BA (H) Sanskrit. However, OBC admissions will continue with 10 per cent relaxation for the candidates. Kirori Mal College, will keep the BCom programme open in the fourth cutoff. But, however for other courses, it is likely to close its admissions for the general category.

Sri Venkateswara College, in South Campus, will close all admissions for general candidates, while Motilal Nehru will just have Sanskrit (H) to offer. Ram Lal Anand will keep BSc (H) zoology and BA (H) Hindi open with a dip of 1% in the cutoff in the fourth list.

Off-campus colleges like Gargi College, Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma, Maharaja Agrasen and Dyal Singh are also likely to close admissions for the general category in the fourth list. Zakir Husain College will have a good number of courses open in the fourth list as well.
