NIT,Trichy most preferred among AIEEE toppers

This year All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) seats have increased and the number of students who wrote the examination crossed all limits.

For those who appeared for AIEEE 2011 online counselling conducted by Central Counselling Board (CCB) at National Institute of Technology Karnataka ( Surathkal), selected National Institute of Technology - Tiruchirappalli or Trichy as most preferred destination.

As many as top 1,000 ranked students in AIEEE 2011 went ahead to choose NIT-Trichy. This was followed by choosing NIT, Warangal and NITK, Surathkal. The courses selected by top students includes Electronics and communications followed by computer science and mechanical engineering . For instance, AIEEE 2011 sixth rank student has opted for computer science at NIT, Trichy.

However, the AIEEE 2011 first rank student has not opted for the online counselling. While the student with rank two has been allotted mechanical engineering seat at NIT Trichy.
