Sibal worries as DU declares 100% cutoff
The Union human resource and development (HRD) minister Kapil Sibal could not believe that some of the colleges under Delhi University has declared its first cut off score as 100 per cent. Sibal said, it is unfortunate that some colleges have record cutoffs this year.

Sibal points out that right to admission cannot be denied to any student, but with 100 per cent cut off the DU colleges want to keep the Sciecne students at bay for commerce courses and colleges.

Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) has declared an unbelievable 100 per cent cut off.Hindu College has announced the subject cut-off at 99 per cent, while Lady Sri Ram College has placed it at 97 per cent. This indicates that the cut off has increased by 5- 10 per cent.

Delhi University vice-chancellor professor Dinesh Singh said, "100 per cent cut-off is unfortunate. The first list may not bring good news for many aspirants but,the following lists will surely do the needful. Cutoffs will come down in the subsequent lists."

The 1st cut-off list for Delhi University has turn out to be a nightmare for many students seeking admission to Delhi University. It is not just commerce stream that has a demand of cent per cent, even science cutoffs have broken all the past records.
