DU cutoffs to be out today, high cutoffs
It has been announced earlier that the Delhi University will announce its cut off list by today (15 June 2011). But, many Colleges have already worked out on their cut off list and have announced the same on their respective websites.

As expected, this year the cutoffs have seemed to hit an all time high. As the pre-admission forms for admission to DU were scrapped by the university this year, this was predicted. The cutoffs are much higher than that of previous years. This was because colleges had to rely on the class 12 results of this year and previous years' experience to decide the cutoff percentages for different courses.

Every student who meets the eligible cutoff for any course at a college cannot be denied admission, hence the cutoffs have been raised. The cutoff lists for Colleges like Sri Venkateswara, Ram Jas, Zakir Hussein and Kirori Mal have high cut offs specially for most popular courses. Some Colleges have decided to give some wavier in cutoff for certain combination's.

Today, most of the colleges will come up with their cutoffs. This first list is not expect to fetch much response because of too high cut offs. The candidates meeting the criteria according to the first cutoff lists will be given four days to seek admission at the colleges. The second cutoff list will be announced by DU on 21, June 2011.
