Admissions open for M.Tech at NIT,Jamsedhpur

Applications are invited by National Institute of Technology (NIT,Jamsedhpur), for admissions to two years M.Tech programmes and Ph. D Programs in various disciplines for the Academic Session 2011–2012.

Eligibility:
For M.Tech: Candidate should have B.E./B.Tech. degree from a recognised University or Institution.
GATE qualified candidates will be given preference for admission to M. Tech. programs.
Sponsored candidates from Govt. / Semi-Govt. / a highly reputed Organization with 60% (55% for SC/ST) marks in qualifying examination need not required to be qualified in GATE.

For PhD: Candidate should have a degree of Master of Technology (M. Tech.) or M. S. or an equivalent degree.
All candidates seeking admission to the Ph. D. Programme must have at least 60% marks (or a CGPA of 6.5 in a 10 point scale) in the qualifying examination.

How to apply:
Candidate may apply for admission to M.Tech. and Ph. D. programs through the downloaded application form. Completed application along with a crossed D.D. for Rs. 500/- (Rs. 250/- for SC/ST) drawn in favour of Director, NIT, Jamshedpur payable at SBI RIT Jamshedpur should reach Prof. In-charge (Academic- PG & R), N I T, Jamshedpur.
