Triumphant Institute of Management Education Private Ltd (T.I.M.E) offers training for national level engineering entrance exams like IIT JEE, AIEEE and also guides students for the state level entrance exams in states like Kerala, Karnataka etc.
State level courses : Kerala Engg./Medical Entrance, Karnataka CET
National level courses : IIT-JEE,AIEEE and BITSAT
Q. What are the Class Room Programmes for Engineering?
T.I.M.E. offers programmes like two year comprehensive IIT-JEE coaching programme for students completing X std, one year IIT-JEE coaching programme for students completing XI std, one year IIT-JEE coaching programme for students completing XII std and, various correspondence courses for students who are unable to attend our regular classroom training programmes.
Q. Can you share a module how you provide a One year IIT-JEE coaching programme for students completing 11th standard?
The course module will include giving classroom training complemented by Basic Study Material that focuses on building a strong conceptual base.
- We conduct regular tests to track the performance – Unit wise tests and Cumulative tests.
- We conduct revision tests – assess student’s ability to solve the questions through integration of concepts.
- We ask students to write National level IIT-JEE Mock Tests and then we do their analysis.
- We provide support and model papers for AIEEE and BITSAT etc.
- We share with the students the T.I.M.E. Talent File – an exhaustive question bank updated to the latest JEE pattern of questions.
Q. Tell us about AIEEE prep? Also, a brief analysis on AIEEE 2011.
I would say, to crack All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) successfully, a student requires two years of preparation - to start after 10th Std.
This year,AIEEE 2011 was surrounded with lot of confusion from the begining after the paper leak. The exam was held in 80 cities all over India in 1600 centers for around 12 lakh registered candidates.
However, AIEEE 2011 was a 3 hour paper(12 noon to 3.00pm) with 90 questions in total for 360 marks. The order of the subject and the choices were completely jumbled in these 4 versions .
There were 4 versions for AIEEE 2011 – P,Q,R,S.Each subject had 30 questions and the pattern was exactly the same for all the subjects. There were 4 choices in all questions. In Physics, there were 3 questions with assertion-reasoning type and no comprehension type. In Maths there were 5 assertion-reasoning type questions and no comprehension. Chemistry did not have any comprehension based or assertion-reasoning based questions. Correct answer carried 4 marks and wrong answers carrried Minus 1 Marks.
Physics was quite difficult ,chemistry was of average difficulty level and maths was relatively the easiest among the 3 subjects.Only 2 pages were provided to the students for rough work.
Q. How much time is allotted for a particular test preparation and on what basis it is decided?
The test preparation of each exam will vary. This mainly depends on the extent of the syllabus of the examination. All engineering entrance exams and medical entrance exams have 11th and 12th std syllabus as the content. Therefore, 2 year long term preparation is the best option so that students can prepare along with the the (regular) Board Studies.
Q. Which exam preparation consumes maximum time, training and why?
If you are aiming for good ranks all engineering and medical entrance exams at the national level requries two years of long term preparation. However, IIT-JEE and AIPMT requires the longest preparation time. Also, we have a course structure which takes students through the entire syllabus, tests, all india level model exams etc. This helps a lot to sit for a national level entrance and come out successful.
Q. Among the previous batches which batch has done well in Engineering?
Our results improve every year - for example, in IIT-JEE we had 100+ selections in 2008, 300+ selections in 2009 and 390+ selections in 2010.
Q. How has been the result of current batch , if they have appeared any competitive exam recently?
27 T.I.M.E. Students feature in the Top 200 Ranks in the IIT-JEE 2011 - results declared on 25th May 2011. These include Category Ranks also.
Q How do you select the students for training?
We conduct an Admission cum Scholarship test for students and based on the performance, we select students for the various training programmes.
