Bangalore girl claimed top rank in CLAT 2011

The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS), Kolkata which conducted the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2011, have declared the results on 28 May 2011. Bangalore city which has got some of the best law colleges like The National Law School of India University Bangalore, Bangalore Institute of Legal Studies, etc also got some top rankers of CLAT 2011. The city students have fared well and have claimed some of the top ranks in this law entrance examination.

Ashrutha Rai, a student of National Public School, Indiranagar, claimed (all-India rank 7). She is a student from Science background and has scored about 95.8% in Class XII. According to reports, she wanted to pursue law because she had always loved debates in schools and had participated in them. She believes, it's really cool to argue, try and make a point. She also believes that she will not want to restrict herself to law and would explore the opportunities in civil service.

She use to devote almost six hours daily to prepare for this national level examination. She kept herself abreast of current affairs. Although she agrees that the materials from coaching centres and GK books had helped her a lot to achieve success.

Similarly,it has been reported that in Ludhiana, four students have made their mark in the CLAT 2011, by securing ranks under 100. Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is an all India entrance examination conducted by 11 National Law Universities for admissions to their undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes (LL B & LL M).
