CBSE XII: How to apply for revaluation and rexam?

The Central Board of Secondary Examination(CBSE) has declared that the first compartmental exam will be held on 16 July 2011 across the nation. For cross verification or revaluation the candidates can access the official website to avail the forms for verification.

The candidates interested to go for revaluation can either apply online or download the offline form and send the form to Regional Office concerned with requisite fee.   The verification fee per subject is Rs. 200 (Rs.300 for urgent verification).  Candidates can apply for urgent verification within five day from the date of declaration of result.  Those candidates applying online should send the printout of page generated on submission of form along with a Demand Draft of requisite fee to regional office concerned.  Candidates of Delhi Region can also deposit cash at the designated schools.

An application for verification must be made by the candidate within 21 days from the date of the declaration of results in case of main examination and within 15 days in case of compartment examination.  However, the Board will not be responsible for any loss or damage or any inconvenience caused to the, candidate, consequent on the revision of marks or delay in communications for reasons beyond control.

It has also been reported that with declaration of CBSE Class XII results yesterday ( 23 May 2011) calls started pouring in on the Central Board of Secondary Examination's (CBSE) helpline.Calls that flooded the helplines were from parents as well as children who were stressed and not satisfied with the marks that they have scored. The students and parents are mostly worried about results being held, compartments and understand the process for rechecking. While lot of parents want to understand what to do next as they feel their wards have got less marks. Many parents want to seek advice regarding whether to approach for rechecking or not.
