The question paper leak for the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) 2011
led to the paper being delayed by three hours, much to the hassle of over 12 lakh engineering aspirants across the country.

The AIEEE is the country's largest engineering entrance examination and conducted for admissions to more than 26,000 seats at the National Institutes of Technology and other central as well as state engineering school.

According to reports, the managers of two coaching classes have been detained by the police for their alleged connection in the paper leak scam in Lucknow. The CBSE had decided to conduct the paper at noon instead of at 9:30AM as scheduled when it had been informed about the paper leak.

Another test for AIEEE will be conducted for 32,000 students who were not able to appear for the rescheduled noon test. The tentative date for this test earlier announced was on 8 May 2011, but has been shifted to 11 May 2011 (Wednesday) due to Karnataka's COMED-K being already scheduled on 8 May 2011.

The leaking of the AIEEE question paper also led to the delaying of the architecture entrance test, also conducted by the CBSE. The Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) had to be also postponed from 2:30PM to 4:30PM as many centres were also holding the AIEEE. Parents of several students who had appeared for the test on Sunday have said that it would be unfair if some students are allowed to take the test a week later.
