IIM Shillong rolls out a series of programmes

Indian Institute of Management(IIM), Shillong, plans to roll out a series of Management Development Programmes (MDP) and Faculty Development Programmes (FDP) at the GRD Institute of Management, Coimbatore, begining 11 May, 2011.

'Data Analytics through SPSS', a programme to impart data analytical capabilities to the project leaders, business analysts, research scholars, and postgraduate students, who want to enhance the quality of their work by using statistics for research, will be held on 11 and 12 May 2011. 'Statistical Process Control and Total Quality Management for Performance Measurement and Improvement' programme will be held on 20 and 21 May, 2011.

A programme on 'Lean Thinking and Six Sigma' to be held on 23 and 24 May, 2011 to identify and plan action opportunities for sustainable improvement in organisations.
The programme is designed for senior executives, managers, professionals, team leaders, operational staff, NGOs, research analysts and academic faculty members, working in public or private sector in service, process, manufacturing organizations and business schools.

A programme on 'Managerial Accounting' for faculty members and research scholars in the area of finance will be held on 30 and 31 May 2011.Business Valuation programme for business analysts, investment analysts, representatives from banks and insurance companies, faculty and research scholars from finance disciplines, will be held on 2 and 3 June 2011.A programme on 'Environment Management' will be held on 6 and 7 June .One on 'Rural Marketing' will be held on 9 and 10 June.

The programme 'Security Analysis and Portfolio Management' on 12 and 13 June, 2011 will impart knowledge on the basics of stock market, trading mechanics, and strategies.It will also include construction of portfolio and its active management.

A fee of Rs.10,000 should be paid by demand draft drawn in favour of 'Rajiv Gandhi Indian Institute of Management' payable at Shillong.It will include reading material, food and accommodation (may be provided for outstation candidates). All participants will receive certificate of participation.
