The famous All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS),New Delhi has taken initiative to reach out students from more than 20 public and private schools to spread awareness about brain-related disorders and the related symptoms of epilepsy, tumour, Parkinson's, etc.
The neurosurgery department of AIIMS has planned this as a part of celebrating 'brain awareness week' by reaching out maximum number of people. The brain related diseases could be detected at early stage and a life can be saved, but people should be aware of the related symptoms of brain related diseases.

Since, every education starts from school, AIIMS also planned to start spreading the awareness from schools and with educating school children.Incidentally, more than 50% of the affected people belong to the productive age between 18-45 years, and in most cases the patients are sole livelihood earners of their families.Brain awareness week is an international campaign that allows people interested in spreading public awareness and in knowing about progress made in the field of brain research.
