Common entrance for journalism at Delhi University

The University of Delhi (DU) is planning to have a common entrance test for the highly sought after B.A. (Hons.) Journalism course for the convenience of the students.The five colleges that currently offer the course in Journalism at DU are Delhi College of Arts and Commerce, Kamala Nehru College, Lady Sri Ram College, Kalindi College and Maharaja Agrasen College. All these colleges will participate in the test that is scheduled on 19 June,2011.

 

The discussions to finalize the criterias of admission to the course are still going on. The application procedure for the course will be done by online.In its first year, the common entrance test for the Journalism course will be coordinated by Maharaja Agrasen College. Earlier, students had to travel from one college to another to apply for the B.A. (Hons.) Journalism course. With introduction of this common entrance test it will be easier for the students.

He further added that the date for the entrance test has already been conveyed to the university and the online application procedure for the test will be on the lines of the BBE, BBS and BFIA admissions.There will be a separate online portal for the application to the test that would include online fee submission and grievance redressal.
