BITS Pilani join hands with Indian Army

Birla Institute of Technology (BITS) Pilani conducts BITSAT, which is a prestigious computer based selection test for admission to Integrated First Degree Programmes offered at BITS Pilani Campuses in Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad respectively. The examination this year is scheduled from 11 May, 2011 to 10 June, 2011.

The institute is again in news by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Army under 'Project Samarth' in order to provide higher technical education to service personnel. BITS, Pilani, under this programme will sponsor its army serving personnel for on-campus and off-campus educational programmes.

It has been reported, that apart from promoting exchange of information on educational programmes, the Centre would also promote research in areas of mutual interest like safety and security, information system, robotics, material, pharmacy, psychology and communication studies. The faculty members and students from BITS would also visit and spend time at the army establishment to work on live projects.The authorities of BITS Pilani believes that this MoU is a new challenge and begining in the history of their institution, which they will try to meet with utmost dedication.
