ETS awarded scholarships, valued at US$105,000, for academic study in 2016-2017
Delhi, September 13, 2016: Fifteen Indian students with proven academic excellence were awarded 2016 TOEFL® scholarships by Educational Testing Service (ETS). Scholarships were awarded to exceptional TOEFL test takers in India who are in pursuit of undergraduate or graduate study abroad. The scholarships are worth a total of US$105,000, US$7,000 each.
Selected from a competitive pool of applications, finalists were evaluated based on their English communication skills, academic record, leadership skills and extracurricular activities. The scholarships are aimed at helping students further their education at any of the 9,000+ institutions around the world that accept TOEFL test scores.
"ETS is pleased to award these committed students with TOEFL scholarships to pursue their educational goals," said Jennifer Brown, Executive Director of the TOEFL Program. "We look forward to continuing to support Indian students who seek higher education in India or abroad."
Over the past five years, ETS has awarded US$415,000 to help TOEFL test takers in India further their undergraduate or graduate studies.
