The demand for the most popular courses - MBA and MCA has come down significantly. More than 14,000 MBA and MCA seats remain vacant in Gujarat colleges.
After the closing of registration for these courses, it has been noticed that the students are not interested to pursue MBA and MCA courses.
A total of 23,461 seats are available for admissions, out of which only 9,379 students have been registered for these courses.
According to sources, around 9,554 forms were sold and 9,379 students have been applied and 9,102 students have completed their document verification process at desired helpline centres.
Like last year, this year also, more than 50% of seats are going to remain vacant. In 2013, 10,400 candidates had taken admission in MBA and MCA courses.
Inspite of many seats remaining vacant, a lot of new colleges has opened, This has further increased to number of seats to 23,461.
The provisional merit list will be issued on July 12.
First mock allotment will be conducted from July 14 to 17.
Results will be announced on July 19.
