India's Top 10 Pharmacy Institutes Released By MHRD

The Ministry Of Human Resource Development, Government Of India has released The Ranking Of Higher Educational Institutions on Performance.

Union Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar has released the India Rankings 2017 of National Institutional Ranking Framework - NIRF

This framework outlines a methodology to rank institutions across the country. The methodology draws from the overall recommendations broad understanding arrived at by a Core Committee set up by MHRD, to identify the broad parameters for ranking various universities and institutions.

The parameters broadly cover "Teaching, Learning and Resources," "Research and Professional Practices," "Graduation Outcomes," "Outreach and Inclusivity," and "Perception".

Here are the Top 10 Pharmacy Institutes. This year every large institution will be given a common overall rank as well as a discipline-specific rank as applicable.

Jamia Hamdard New Delhi

Jamia Hamdard University, Delhi was established in 1906, by Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed, one of the well-known practitioners of Unani System of Medicine. The university is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The university had a vision of making the practice of Unani Medicine into a scientific discipline so that Unani medicines could be dispensed in a more efficacious manner to patients. Jamia Hamdard University was conceived as a seat of higher learning in Unani Medicine, Islamic Studies, Biosciences, Pharmacy, Nursing and other areas of knowledge by its founder as a means of fulfilling the objects of the wakf. Jamia Hamdard has emerged as an outstanding institution of higher learning with distinct and focused academic programs.

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Mohali

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Mohali was popularly known as NIPER Mohali. It is an Indian public pharmacy research university, and a part of the seven schools, under India's Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers established in 1998. The institute offers Masters and Doctoral degrees in pharmaceutical sciences.

University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences Chandigarh

University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS), Chandigarh was established in 1994.Its affiliated to Punjab University.The institute is a premier institution of pharmaceutical education and research in the country.

Institute of Chemical Technology Maharashtra

Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai was established in1993. The institute is affiliated to the University of Mumbai. The vision of the Institute perennially strives to be a vibrant institute with continuously evolving curricula to brighten the future of the chemical, biological, materials, and energy industries of the nation.

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Hyderabad

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Hyderabad was established in 2007. The college is a National level institute in Pharmaceutical Sciences with proclaimed objectives of becoming the center of excellence for advanced science and research in pharmaceutical sciences.

Birla Institute of Technology & Science Rajasthan

Birla Institute of Technology (BIT), Sindri was established in 1949. The institute is controlled administratively by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Jharkhand, Ranchi and academically it is affiliated to Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribag for conducting examinations and awarding degrees. All the courses are approved by All India Council of Technical Education and most of the undergraduate programs are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi.

Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences Manipal

Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Manipal was established in 1963.
It is affiliated to Manipal University.
Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MCOPS) offers DPharm. , BPharm. , MPharm. , PharmD. , PharmD, Post Baccalaureate, and Ph.D. programs.
The college has received research grants from CSIR, DST, ICMR, UGC, AICTE, DBT, DAE and pharmaceutical industries.

Poona College of Pharmacy Pune
