XAT 2015 exam analysis: tough and lengthy

The Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2015 test was concluded on January 04, 2015. More than 90,000 students had appeared for the test.

According to the aspirants appeared for the XAT 2015 exam, the paper was tough, tricky and lengthy.

Some of the students claimed that the XAT 2015 paper was more difficult than CAT 2014. XAT continued to be tough in its pattern and difficulty level.

XAT 2015 was a paper-pencil based test, comprises of 2 papers. The total duration of the examination will be 3 hours.

Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation:
This section had toughest question, when compared to other parts. A total 25 questions were asked in the exam. The questions raised from the Arithmetic, Number Series, Geometry.

The Date Interpretation section had only 8 questions. This section was easier to crack. Some of the questions were time-consuming.

Verbal Ability and Analytical Reasoning:
This section was moderate in difficulty level. A total of 28 questions were asked in this section. There were 5 reading comprehension passages. Students said that there was no one single question asked from the Analytical Reasoning section.

General Knowledge:
This section had quite difficult questions to answer. This section had question from the topics related to national and international on-going current affairs. Some of the students felt easy to answer the questions.

Essay Writing:
XAT 2015 aspirants were asked to write an essay on the topic - Listening is a dying art. We hardly listen to understand, we only listen to refute a reply. The topic is extremely contemporary.

Overall, XAT 2015 exam paper was tough, tricky and lengthy.
