COMEDK UGET Eligibility Criteria

The Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) is an all-India entrance examination conducted for admission to more than 150 engineering colleges in Karnataka under the Karnataka Unaided Private Engineering Colleges Association (KUPECA). For admission to COMEDK Undergraduate Entrance Test (UGET), candidates need to satisfy all the eligibility criteria.

COMEDK has published the UGET 2024 Eligibility Criteria on the official website - comedk.org. The Information bulletin contains the COMEDK UGET 2024 eligibility requirements. A minimum of 45% in PCM during the 10+2 test qualified candidates for the COMEDK exam. The COMEDK eligibility requirements include information about the qualifying test, COMEDK qualifying marks, eligibility %, required subjects, etc. An applicant will be eliminated from consideration for admission if they do not fulfill any of the COMEDK Qualfying requirements. Before completing the COMEDK 2024 Application from, candidates should check the COMEDK eligibility requirements 2024. The COMEDK UGET exam will be administered online by the authority in 2024.

COMEDK UGET 2024 will be conducted on 12th May, 2024. Candidates must fulfill certain requirements in order to be eligible for admission under the COMEDK UGET eligibility criteria 2024. It is required of candidates to confirm their eligibility for COMEDK UGET 2024 before completing the application. The following shall be the eligibility criteria for Engineering and Architecture courses.

Candidates from all over the country can appear for the UGET 2024 Entrance Examination. The Eligibility criterion for various programs is as under:-

COMEDK UGET Engineering Eligibility

1. The qualifying examinations prescribed for admission for B.E./B.Tech is second PUC or 10+2 Higher Secondary or equivalent examinations recognized by the state/central government. The last two years of study shall comprise subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with English as a compulsory subject.

2. The General Merit candidates should have passed with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks.

It is 40% for SC, ST, and OBC candidates of Karnataka. One should attain this percentage in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and should have passed these subjects individually. Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Electronics or Computer as optional subjects. However, changes if any, in the eligibility criteria by the AICTE / VTU will be adopted.

3. An attempt in the COMEDK test seeking admission to Engineering courses is considered adequate for figuring in the rank list.

4. Diploma candidates are not eligible to take the entrance test as there are no lateral entry admissions.

NOTE: The candidates shall submit the original marks card of the examination during counseling for proving their eligibility vis-a-vis marks scored as evidenced by the original marks card.

COMEDK UGET Architecture Eligibility

1. The prescribed qualifying examination for admission to B.Arch course is second PUC or 10+2.

2. The candidates should have passed an examination at the end of the 10+2 scheme of examination with at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (45% for SC, ST and OBC Candidates of Karnataka) and also at least 50% Marks in aggregate of the 10+2 level examination (45% for SC, ST and OBC Candidates of Karnataka) or passed 10+3 Diploma examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 50% Marks in aggregate (45% for SC, ST and OBC Candidates of Karnataka) and shoould have passed these subjects individually.

3. All the candidates (including SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka) seeking admission to B. Arch shall pass the NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) conducted by the Council of Architecture. Qualification in NATA is subject to the candidate getting at least cut-off-marks in two individual components and also getting at least the qualifying marks in aggregate. Candidates who have appeared in any other aptitude test in Architecture conducted by other Authorities shall also be required to qualify NATA in order to be eligible for admission to B.

Arch course. Only NATA scores will be considered for preparing merit list along with marks of Qualifying examination.

4. There shall be no Entrance Test conducted by COMEDK for Candidates seeking admission to B. Arch Course.

5. Candidates seeking admission B. Arch course shall submit separate application form for counseling as per the notification on COMEDK website (which will be made available for counseling). Candidates interested in only Architecture course, need not fill the online application form for engineering entrance exam.

NOTE :

Notwithstanding the eligibility criteria mentioned as above, the changes, if any, effected b y AICTE, VTU, COA or other competent Regulatory Authorities before the start of rank generation process of COMEDK shall be adopted mutais mutandis. After generating the ranks, no changes will be made to the already prescribed eligibility criteria.

Rank card will be generated only for those candidates who become eligible for admission to under Graduate Courses as per the regulations of AICTE / VTU
