What is XAT Exam?

XAT - The Xavier Aptitude Test is a national level aptitude test conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur. The scores of the XAT will be used for admissions by XLRI Jamshedpur and other Xavier Associate Management Institutes and over 100 B-schools across the country.

XAT 2015 is expected to be held in the first week of January 2015. The XAT is national level test conducted by the XLRI to select the most appropriate candidates for management education from all over the country.

The institute has expertise in setting up the exam and the selecting the best candidates for management studies. There are several other institutes which consider XAT scores for their selection procedure.

There are 60 management institutes which use XAT scores for their admission process. Some of these institutes are - Affinity Business School, Alliance Business Academy, EMPI Business School, Indian Institute of Finance, Jagran Institute of Communication and Management (JICM), Goa Institute of Management programmes, SP Jain Institute of Management. The XAT is a three-hour long exam. The questions are based on quantative ability (Mathematics), verbal Ability (English) and data Interpretation/logical reasoning skills. The final section contains questions based on general awareness and essay writing.
