To apply for Xavier Admission Test, one must know the eligibility criteria and educational qualification required to apply for it.
XAT 2015 is a national level entrance examination conducted by the XLRI for admission to management programmes in XLRI and XLRI associate institutes and many other B-schools across the country.
The XAT is conducted for admissions of MBA aspirants in over 100 B-schools across the country.
XAT eligibility criteria
Any MBA aspirant who is a graduate in any discipline from a recognised university or deemed university is eligible to take the test.
Candidates graduated from a recognised or deemed university are eligible for XAT.
Candidates in the final of bachelor's degree or those who are awaiting results can also apply. The candidates who have 50% or less aggregate in the graduation examinations, can also take up XAT 2015.
Candidates in the final year of their graduation can also take the test, provided they can submit the marks within the stipulated time to the participating B-schools.
The final year graduation students taking the XAT, will have to submit aggregate percentage of the previous year's degree course they are pursuing.
The XAT 2014, was held on Sunday, January 5, 2014. The total number of applicants were around 89,000, which was about 4% lesser than 2013 applicants. The scores of XAT will be accepted by over 110 B-schools all over the country. The B-schools will declare their own eligibility criterion which is expected to be on the similar lines as XAT 2015 Eligibility Criteria.
Educational qualifications required to take up XAT 2015
Bachelors degree (graduation) in any stream from a recognised university in India, with not less than 50 percent marks in aggregate is the required educational qualification for XAT 2015.
