COMEDK PGET Eligibility Criteria

The Karnataka Private Medical and Dental Colleges Association (COMEDK), Bengaluru is all set to conduct Postgraduate Entrance Test (PGET) for the year 2023.

Eligibility Criteria 2023

Candidates who are interested to apply for COMEDK PGET 2023, must need to check eligibility criteria before applyig for COMEDK PGET 2023 Exam.

• Candidate must be a citizen of India.
• There is no age limit.
• Candidates must have passed BDS / MBBS from any recognized board by MCI / DCI.
• Candidates must have to scored at least General Category should be scored minimum aggregate marks of 50% in the BDS / MBBS - 40% marks for reserved category in the BDS / MBBS Subjects.

COMEDK PGET 2023 is the qualifying examination for admission to PG Medical courses in COMEDK member institutions across Karnataka.

Candidates from all over the country can appear for the entrance examination. The eligibility criteria for postgraduate degree /diploma programs are as follows:

• Applicants must meet all the requirements stipulated by MCI / DCI from time to time

• They should have successfully passed their MBBS / BDS from any recognized institution by MCI / DCI

• They must have completed or been completing their internship by 31st March 2023 at the latest. The minimum percentage of marks in the ComedK PGET 2023 shall be 50% for general merit candidates and 40% for the candidates belonging to SC, ST (All India) and other backward classes belonging to Karnataka State

• They should have obtained permanent registration with the MCI / DCI or any of the State Medical / Dental Council

• A candidate already holding a PG degree in any specialty is not allowed to appear for COMEDK PGET 2022.

  A candidate who is pursuing a PG Degree/ Diploma in any clinical specialty after securing the seat through COMEDK in the earlier years is not permitted to write the said test

• Candidates having selected a seat earlier through COMEDK and failed to join the college so selected, or failed to surrender the said seat at the ComedK level or having joined the college failed to pursue the course, are not permitted to take the test

• Candidates who have been debarred by COMEDK during the previous years are not allowed to appear for PGET 2023.
