ICFAI Business School (IBS) - Hyderabad is a constituent of the ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE), a Deemed University as per the UGC Act 1956. It was established in 1995. ICFAI Business School-Hyderabad is one of the best business schools in India. It enjoyed 12th rank in the nation as per a survey conducted by Hindustan Times in 2012. ICFAI B-School has been re-accredited by SAQS (South Asian Quality Standards), rated A** by CRISIL, EB2 IN by ICRA and declared an Excellent Business School by Eduniversal.

ICFAI has been providing one of the largest MBA programs in Asia with a student intake of around 1100 this year. They have 60 students in their Ph.D. program and over 300 in the BBA program.

They have MoUs with fifteen institutions located in USA, UK, Australia, and Malaysia, which enable the prestigious B-School's Ph.D. students engage in a 9-month visitor scholar program abroad. Further, along with the full-time Ph.D. program, IBS also has a part-time Ph.D. program that facilitates working executives achieve their doctoral aspirations.

The academic units of IBS-Hyderabad are divided into five departments: finance and accounting, marketing and strategy, economics, operations and IT, and human resources and soft skills.

The faculty at IBS-Hyderabad is a fine mixture of people from the industry and academia which has more number of PhD holders. At presents, there are 170 faculty members in the business school. In the last three years, the faculty members have published close to 300 articles in International and National journals. The Case Research Centre of the school develops business cases on an average of over 100 cases per year, which are being used around the world for teaching, prescribed in textbooks, and utilized in industry.

The Center for Management Development of the school provides faculty members opportunities to have an interface with industry. IBS-Hyderabad emphasizes student-oriented learning supported by constant evaluation and feedback. It offers a case study based pedagogy for the MBA program.

Case studies help students to step look at things from the point of view of the decision makers and deal with issues faced by managers. The students read around 500 national and international case studies including the ones from Harvard Business School.
