About Birla Institute of Technology, Patna
Birla Institute of Technology (BIT Patna), Patna was established in 2006 on the request of the Government of Bihar.
The institute is being developed as a separate institution, with the granting of a deemed university status.
The institute is to be developed into a center of excellence.
BIT is a campus of Birla Institute of Technology Mesra, Ranchi which is an autonomous engineering and technology oriented institute of higher education and a Deemed University.
