About Anjuman-I-Islam's Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology

Anjuman-I-Islam's Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Mumbai was established in 1874 and managed by Anjuman-I-Islam’s Education Trust.

It is conveniently located in the heart of Mumbai at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (V.T) which covers the important business area of Mumbai. The institute has been declared as a Deemed University soon.

It is one of the premier institute established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone on the part of progress.

It is affiliated with the University of Mumbai, Mumbai and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.

The institution was started with a humble objective to provide higher education in a professional institution of the state in Hotel Management, Social work, and provides all including economically affordable fees.

The aim of the institute is to prepare the student for life and work in an information-rich and a technology-driven world.

It is a co-educational self-financed institute, providing a regular course which is located in an urban part of Mumbai played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

The society has more than 100 Institutions in various fields of education & humanitarian services, encompassing varied fields like Engineering, Medical, Pharmaceutical, Polytechnic, Home Science, Hotel & Catering Management, Business Management, Research Institutes, B.Ed.Colleges, various other Degree Colleges.

The institute had received many awards and accolades at a city, state and national level for their educational advancements also received the numbers of achievements awards in the field of sports and curricular activities under the University of Mumbai, Mumbai.

It is the only Institution in the State of Maharashtra, which has been awarded the prestigious Maharashtra Government's “State Award 2000” for excellence in Educational and Social Activities.

The institute offers three years undergraduate courses in Bachelor of Science (Hospitality Studies) & three years Master program in M.Sc.

in Hotel & Hospitality Administration with various specializations under University of Mumbai, Mumbai.

It also offers three years of Diploma Degree Program in Bachelor of Science (Hospitality Studies & Catering Services) affiliating under Yashvantrao Chavan, Maharashtra Open University, Mumbai.

University examinations of different courses, examinations conducted by the University of Mumbai, Mumbai, and various other examinations are held in the institute premises.
